“Can you velcro food?” asked Colin Sutton, our ID Intern in the Summer of 2018. Well, this big bold question led to the creation of an all new food utensil that was awarded a Good Design award in 2019.

Nuk Pretensil Fork

“Can you velcro food?” asked Colin Sutton, our ID Intern in the Summer of 2018. This was the biggest question that led to the creation of the Nuk Pretensil Fork. This innovative fork is designed to help baby learn to self-feed with ease by trapping food in the layered tines. Because the tines are stacked 3 dimensionally, food is able to be lodged into the tines, as well as poked, giving the child even more chance of picking up the bite, ultimately lending more confidence and repitition to baby’s exploration into self feeding.
